2008 Erickson Pinot Noir
2008 Erickson Pinot Noir
The Erickson Vineyard is located on the Naramata Bench 0.5km north of Foxtrot’s home vineyard. The vineyard while facing west, has a northerly tilt to it resulting in a slightly later ripening than Foxtrot’s home vineyard. Soils are predominantly glacial till with a large amount of gravel and large rocks present in the soil. The wine with a light hue has fresh aromas of leather, strawberry and raspberry. The raspberry and strawberry continue on the palate with notes of liquorice, rhubarb, tea leaf, and a certain classic Pinot earthiness. The wine has velvety smooth tannins with medium body and a long finish. This wine should easily age for 5+ years.
