With the outstanding weather thus far the 2013 vintage is shaping up to be one of the all time best. Our new planting of 2.5 acres Pinot Noir is thriving and we are very excited for the potential moving forward. Veraison started last week which projects an estimated harvest date of the first to second week in October for our Pinot Noirs with the Chardonnay most likely coming in the week prior.
Foxtrot Wine Reviews
Foxtrot’s Pinot Noir and Chardonnay recently received excellent reviews from John Schreiner and Jurgen Gothe respectively. Below are excerpts from the reviews as well as links to the full articles.
Foxtrot Vineyards Pinot Noir 2010 This wine begins with spicy cherry aromas. The flavours have a core of cherry and raspberry framed by the spice of expensive French oak barrels. The wine has begun to develop the rich, silky texture that is the hallmark of Foxtrot. 92-94 points
Foxtrot Coolshanagh Vineyard Chardonnay 2011 …The wine starts with a pretty straw colour and a solid whiff of lemon off the nose, opening up to big, bold tropical fruit and culminating in a lavish finish. An example of state-of-the-art Okanagan Chardonnay. Winemakers Gustav and Nadine Allander need do nothing else to assure their place in the B.C. winemaking pantheon.

Pinot at Cloudy Bay
Foxtrot Vineyards is proud to have our 2010 Foxtrot Pinot Noir selected for Pinot at Cloudy Bay in Marlborough New Zealand. The Pinot Noir event, now in its 14th year, is held at Cloudy Bay winery and consists of a Grand Tasting with 18 Pinot Noirs selected from around the world. The wines are tasted blind and are selected on a basis of varietal character, quality and regional diversity. The Grand Tasting is followed by a “sumptuous degustation lunch” this year prepared by acclaimed New Zealand Chef Des Harris of Clooney Restaurant in Aukland. If you find yourself in Marlborough, Pinot at Cloudy Bay is held September 7th and the cost is $350 per person.
